The Art of Listening
If you have never visited a classical homeopath before, your first consultation might feel quite different from a standard doctor's visit. We do not rush. The initial case-taking is the most critical part of your treatment journey.
A Comprehensive Conversation
We typically spend 60 to 90 minutes together. During this time, we will of course discuss the primary reason for your visit in great detail. However, we will also venture into areas that might seem unrelated to your main complaint:
- Your personal history: Past illnesses, childhood health, and major life events.
- Your physical generals: How you handle temperature, what foods you crave or detest, your sleep positions, and energy levels.
- Your mental and emotional state: Your fears, your dreams, how you respond to stress or grief, and your general disposition.
Why All the Questions?
We are searching for the unique way you experience illness. Two people with the same medical diagnosis (e.g., migraines) will almost certainly need two completely different homeopathic remedies because they experience their headaches differently, and they are different people.
